  • Abstract
    The existence of common fixed point is established for the asymptotically (f, θ,L)-weak contraction noncommuting mappings on a nonempty subset of a Banach space. As applications, some results on the set of best approximation for this class of mappings are also obtained. The results proved in this paper generalize and extend various known results in the literature.
