  • Abstract
    The aim of this paper is to present best proximity point results of (α, ψ)- proximal contractive type mappings on a closed ball in complete metric spaces. An example was constructed to validate the results proved herein. As an application, we derive best proximity result in the setup of complete metric spaces endowed with binary relation. Our results provide extension as well as substantial generalizations and improvements of several well known results in the existing comparable literature.
