Qualitative Research on the Using of Writing Workshop Techniques in English Writing Class

How to improve the English writing ability is always considered to be a very difficult task by the teachers and students. While many different methods have been tried by the teachers, this essay presents the result of a qualitative research done in University of Denver in America, which verifies the function of writing workshop and the effect of its use in the writing class in terms of developing the students’ writing skills and improving the students’ writing competence. Besides, the article also elaborates on the writing workshop techniques employed by the professors of the University of Denver in their creative writing classes.
