The Effect of Modernism on Spatial-physical Development of Iranian-Islamic Cities such as Tehran

In this paper, we have tried to analyze and asses the process of formation and spatial – structural evolution of Iranian-Islamic cities through Tehran case study as well as how to organ-ize and effecting different factors specially modernism on urban elements. Also we have dis-cussed about formation and emergence of Tehran and the effect of different pre modernism and postmodernism socio-economic and cultural factors .the result was that Tehran has been as a central point of evolution, concepts, and promoting of new concepts –whether good or bad- dur-ing last 200 years, and as a witness of modernity so that it presents the clear face of spatial-structural thoughts of modernism era
