Abstract :
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is one of the most common functional gastrointestinal disor-der characterized by chronic abdominal pain as-sociated with bowel habit alteration . Current-ly, pharmacological treatment strategies can only provide limited symptomatic relief, therefore, many patients are not completely treated and do not have a proper quality of life, there may also be drug side effects, these have resulted in in-creasing the tendency to use of complementary and alternative medicines .
