Abstract :
A robust stabilization problem is considered for parameter varying time delay systems, where the system parameters are scheduled along a measurable signal trajectory. A switching control approach is developed from the perspectives of LPV (Linear Parameter Varying) systems, and candidate controllers are designed for robust stabilization at certain operating regions. A dwell time based hysteresis switching logic is further proposed to guarantee the stability of the switched parameter varying time delay systems in the whole operating range. The minimization of dwell time is also considered, where an iterative search algorithm is developed from singular value perspectives. Meanwhile, a controller design algorithm is presented to achieve robust stability, as well as the local minimal dwell time for controller switching. Numerical examples are also given to illustrate the results
