Abstract :
Hematological studies have generally been used as an effective and sensitive index to monitor physiological and pathological changes in fishes. Fish blood is being studied increasingly in toxicological research and environmental monitoring as a possible indicator of physiological and pathological changes in fishery management disease investigations (Mulcahy, 1975; Sampath et al., 1993).
