Abstract
Recently, an important research report has been published
by Saeedi et al. (1) in the Iranian Journal of PsychiatryandBehavioral
Sciences. The authors conducted a study
of COVID-19 in 93 hospitalized patients. The study findings
indicated that 10.8% of the infected patients were opiumdependent.
Most importantly, the odds ratio related to
death was found to be 3.59%. Most participants were
middle-aged (56.3-years-old) and male (54.8%) (1).
