Abstract :
A different approach is developed to study self similar vector fields in plane symmetric static space-times by using algebraic and direct integration techniques. Here we discuss self similar vector fields of first, second, zeroth and infinite kinds for the above space-times in both tilted and non tilted cases. We obtained self similar vector fields of first, second and infinite kinds in tilted case. In case of non tilted we obtained only self similar vector fields in zeroth kind.
