Abstract :
We solve the 3-dimensional Schr¨odinger equation under the Tietz potential by an approximate analytical scheme. A Pekeris-type approximation and the Nikiforov–Uvarov technique are used in the calculations to report the arbitrary-state eigenfunctions and eigenvalues and we calculate some useful expectation values of the Tietz potential using the Hellmann–Feynman theorem and obtain the oscillator strength.
