Abstract
Within the framework of the shell model, we consider the residual interaction to be a surface delta interaction. This interaction has been applied in the calculation of the energy levels of 210Po, which belong to N = 126 magic closed shell nuclei. The pure and the configuration mixings are applied in the calculations of matrix elements. The predicted energy levels are compared with experimental data.
