Abstract :
XANTHOGRANULOMATOUS pyelonephritis (XGP) is rare, unilateral manifestation of chronic interstitial nephritis characterized by the destruction and replacement of the normal parenchyma by sheets of lipid-laden histocytes. It is considered to be an unusual cellular response to bacterial invasion and bacteria induced process.
