The Quota System in Sudan: Parties’ Perception of Ways to Enhance Female Political Participation

Elections are considered one of the mechanisms for democratic transformation in any country. With Sudan standing at dangerous crossroads, this mechanism assumes particular importance due to its role in determining the political identity of the country and how it will be ruled in the coming years. The female segment of the population, which constitutes 49 percent of the population, cannot be excluded from political decision-making.
