  • Abstract
    Objective: The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of duration of symptoms on surgical outcome of the patients with Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy (CSR) who had been treated by single level microscopic Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF).Methods: Prospective study was undertaken at Kasr El-Aini Hospital on 15 patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy treated by single level microscopic anterior cervical discectomy and fusion by PEEK cage.Results: According to Odom`s criteria excellent and good outcomes were recorded in 100% of the patients with duration of symptoms more than 6 months and 57% of the patients with duration of symptoms less than 6 months.Conclusion: Duration of symptoms seems to have no adverse effect on the surgical outcome of the patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy treated with anterior cervical discectomy and fusion by cage
