Abstract
The steady boundary layer stagnation-point flow of an incompressible micropolar fluid over a nonlinearly stretching sheet with viscous dissipation is investigated. The resulting equations of nonlinear ordinary differential equaitons are solved numerically for some values of the governing parameters using a finite-difference method. The features of the flow and the heat transfer characteristics are analyzed and discussed. It is found that the heat transfer rate at the surface decreases in the presence of viscous dissipation
