LESSONS TO BE LEARNED: THE MARGARET MEAD’S BALI EXPERIENCE

There were many lessons to be learned in our day to day observation. This article is an interesting personal opinion on the famous anthropologist’s report on certain child-rearing practices that may lead to schizoid tendency among Balinese children. Author feels that some of the reports by Western researchers may be misleading and encourage local psychiatrists to take up challenge of understanding of our own people
