Abstract :
This study was conducted at the selected higher education institutions (HEI) in the second semester, 2008. The selected group of students was consisted of a group of students who had experience working in the industry and also had undergone practical training required by their institutions. The student’s perception comprised of various aspects such as perceptions from technical aspects, the general perception, the level of importance and satisfaction in engineering education environment as well as the overall evaluation on the followed teaching and learning system. The results obtained were recorded and analyzed using SPSS and Excel software. Overall, the student’s satisfaction level on the engineering learning aspect at the HEI was moderate. However, the high mean level of student satisfaction on the experience of lecturers did not adequate enough to satisfy the students on the lectures and practical classes. Therefore, other aspects such as the well-maintained infrastructure, comprehensive and user-friendly computer information as well as the complete laboratories and workshops equipment should also be taken into account in the improvement process of the programs offered
