Abstract :
In order to get cultures of the causal organisms, large number of potato plants and tuber samples from all over the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) showing symptoms of blackleg/soft rot disease were analyzed and at the result 20 PCR-confirmed Erwinia carotovora ssp. atroseptica (Eca) isolates were tested for their aggressiveness.
