Abstract :
The development of tourism in Langkawi Island is to contribute to the diversification of the island economy and enhance the dyamism of its services sector . This study analyses the perceptions and satisfaction level of tourists with regard to the access services provided by local and indigenous travel agencies. Typically, each service offered should influence travellers‘ decisions to make repeat visits or otherwise. A field study was conducted at the main jetty terminal of the island, Langkawi airport and the Chenang Beach involving the administration of questionnaires on the island tourists. The results showed that the price offered by travel agency operators was a course of displeasure for the tourists who used this service during public and festive holidays. Price adjustment factors among others are necessary to ensure that tourists are satisfied in using this service.
