Abstract :
Th e one dimension computational model of a sequential inj ection engine. whi ch runs on compres sed natura l gas (CNG) with spark ign ition. is de veloped for this study. to s imulate the performance of gas flow pressure pro file. under var ious speed cond itions, The computational mode l is used to simul ate and study o f the steady sta te and transient processes of the intake manifold . The seq ue ntial injection CNG engine mod el is developed using GT-Power software, The size of this mode l engine is dev eloped from the rea l diese l en gine data and was input into the softw are s library. The sim ulation model e ngine runs with various speeds from 1000 up to 4000 rpm. The simu lat ion res ults of the performan ce with gas flow pressu re. in the intake manifold ar e collected from two data sets; the ) I- Post post processing pluts fur press ure performanc e ve rsu s crank angl e. and post processing cases RLT for pres sure pe rformance versus engine speed. Th e simu lation results or the intake manifold and the performance of the gas flow pre ssure profi le. with vario us engine speed. 1 0 1 the CNG seq uent ial injection engine are shown by characters . Th e Pressure pro file: or the eng ine and the num erical accura cy of the model is verilied and validated by compa ring the average total of the intake manifold pre ss re, with the measured intake manifold pres sure, of a CNG sequent ial inj ection engine. The simulation resu lts show that the conversion of diesel engine to a CNG sequential inje ction engin e wit h spark ignition will increase the pressu re perfo rmance in the iuta C mani fo ld of tile engine.
