Abstract :
Differentiated Services (DiffServ) is a framework for providing different levels of service to various classes of traffic. This differentiation is through the relative priorities assigned to the classes called Differentiated Services Code Point (DSCP). One of the main disadvantages of the Differentiated Services (DiffServ) is that DiffServ does not keep per flow state information. That makes it more difficult to support End-to-End QoS. Two of these QoS parameters are the unfairness in distribution of the network capacity and Delay. A traffic conditioner is one of the components of the DiffServ domain. It is located on the boundary nodes in this domain. It is responsible for measuring incoming traffic and assigning the constituent packets to different service classes. This is based on a predetermined policy rules. The Integrated Time Sliding Window 2 Color Marker (ITSW2CM) traffic conditioner tries to solve the unfair distribution of the excess bandwidth However, the DiffServ itself doesn 7 define methods for centralized administration and admission control decisions. One of the proposed solutions is the Bandwidth Broker (BB). The network simulator NS-2 is used to build the proposed conditioner. This paper presents ITSW2CM and compares it to the already exist traffic conditioner TSW2CMwhen using BB
