Abstract :
Development of portable equipments, wireless sensors networks and self powered devices generates a strong request for micro-energy harvesting devices. Apart from electromechanical energy harvesting using piezoelectric materials, thermoelectrical energy conversion using pyroelectric effect is also interesting. In this study, the value of harvested energy from pyroelectric PVDF film has been measured under the variations of room temperature. The maximum value of harvested energy from a PVDF film with 10 cm^2 electrodes surface area and 0.1 mm thickness is 4.33μW.
