Abstract
This paper examines indigenous wisdom contained in the Saga of King Banjar. Local knowledge indicates the wealth of cultural values in the written literature of Banjar. Tradition and customs contained in the local knowledge is so deeply rooted in the life of the palace and the Banjar. Local wisdom is trying to make us aware of the importance of maintaining traditions, mores, societal norms, religious norms, nature conservation and fauna. By understanding local knowledge is expected that each reader of Tale of King Banjar understand the traditions and customs of ancestors.
