Abstract :
This Research was designed in order to estimate the effects of thyroid dysfunctions on the concentration of Melatonin hormone and the concentration of Uric acid in a number of women suffered from thyroid dysfunctions, by which (55) blood samples was collected from external laboratories in Tikrit and samarra´a cities. The samples are divided into three groups: First group (21) samples of blood from women diagnosed with hyperthyroidism significant increase in thyroid hormones Tri-iodothyronine (T3) and Thyroxin (T4). Second group: (16) blood samples from women diagnosed with hypothyroidism significant decrease in thyroid hormones Tri-iodothyronine (T3) and Thyroxin (T4). Third group: (18) blood samples from normal healthy women as control group. The study shows a significant increase at level (P≤ 0.05) of thyroid hormones (T3) and (T4), Uric acid concentration of women diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in comparison with the control group. Significant decrease at level (P≤ 0.05) of Melatonin in the hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism groups compared with the control group. Also the study shows no significant difference at level (P≤ 0.05) of Uric acid level of women diagnosed with hypothyroidism in comparison with the control group.
