Abstract :
This research was conducted with the objectives to find out the response of five different pea cultivars and efficacy of three different fungicides against Uromyces pisi (Pers) de Barry under field conditions for the control of pea rust. All fungicides caused reduction in disease severity. The lowest disease attack was recorded in plants treated with Mancozeb followed by those with Bayleton. Among the tested pea cultivars, Climax gave the highest yield due to lowest disease severity and Meteor had the lowest yield due to maximum disease attack. Fresh pod yield, number of grains per pod, plant height, fresh plant weight and dried plant weight were the highest in treatment Mancozeb followed by that of Callaxin indicating that their application resulted in disease control with a subsequent increase in yield.
