Abstract :
The topic of the article is the democracy rhetoric of the Democrat Party during the period 1945-1960. In this context, three different seperate phases have been identified in the light of the evolution and transformation of democracy rhetoric of Democrat Party during years. The first phase is covered by the years 1945-1950, when Democrat Party was in opposition. In this phase, the rhetoric of democracy was based on to the idea of to strenghten democracy and to improve fundamental rights and freedoms.In the second phase covering the period 1950-1954, the rhetoric of democracy was started to slow down and the limits of the fundamental rights and freedoms began to determined in this context. The third phase covering the years 1954- 1960 reflects a period when Democrat Party moved away from democracy and established an authoritarian governance.
