  • Abstract
It seems that the criminal code and the whole punitive disposition builded around it attain a decisive effect on politics today, maybe more than ever before. Moreover, this situation can not be explained only by some local and conjunctural effects. Some generalized and stabilized world-wide tendencies should be added to them also. After all, it is obvious that the politics is under the pressure of criminal terms and procedures almost everywhere: Now, the threshold between crime and politics, between criminal concepts and political concepts, between criminal violence and political violence is getting more unclear and ambiguous than ever before. Starting from this point of view, this article tries to inquire the changing characteristics of the relation between crime and politics since 1970 s on the one hand, and on the other hand it focuses on some legal arrangements that allow the criminalization of politics in Turkey.
