Abstract :
The preparation of allyl chlorostannan 5 was achieved into two steps via free radical displacement of the sulphone group by tributyltin radical. The chemical structure of compound 5 was confirmed by normal spectroscopic methods, including NMR, IR and MS. The mechanism for the free radical reaction of chlorosulphone 6 with tributyltinhydride is likely to proceed via the catalysis of the trace amount of the iodoallyl chloride 4.
