Abstract :
We wish to report asymmetric Diels–Alder reactions using a D-glucose-based diene and quinol dienophile without requiring additional steps of preparing an oxirane dienophile typically used in the Stoodley group. A new D-glucose-based diene is also reported and its chemistry investigated.
