Abstract :
This work was conducted during the winter season of 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 at the Barrage Horticultural Research Station, Kalubla Governorate to explore the response of two pea cultivars (Master B and Victory Freezer), the bionitrogen fertilizer (Nitrobien) and three intensification methods (one, two and three sides of ridge) on plant height, number of branches/plant, number of leaves/plant, number of days to flowering, total green pod yield, pod characters, number of seeds/pod, weight 100 seed, N% arid total protein of the green seeds. The results indicated that the cultivars showed significant differences in their plant height, number of branches/plant, number of leaves/plant, number of days to flowering, total green yield, pod weight, pod characters, number of seeds/pod and weight of 100 seeds. The biofertolization by the Nitrobien (2kg/fed) Increased plant height, number of leaves/plant, total green yield, pod characters and number of seeds/pod. Sowing on one side of ridge recoded the highest values of vegetative growth traits than those grown in the two and three sides of ridge. Also, one side of ridge increased pod character values, pod weight, number of seeds/pod, weight of 100 seeds, N % and total protein in the green seeds. While three sides of ridge increased total green yield. This study recommended the use of biofertilizer nitrobien and sowing on three sides of the ridge for the highest total green yield.
