Abstract :
In this study, our main objective was to evaluate the antioxidant and antimicrobial activity of three new metal complexes of Cu(II), Fe(III), Co(II), with non-natural amino acids containing quaternary ammonium salts moieties used as ligand derived from 2- (diethylamino)ethylmethacylate (DEAEMA). All the compounds tested in this work were evaluated for their in vitro antimicrobial activities. And for their possible in-vitro antioxidant activity through free radical scavenging activity using DPPH (1,1-diphenyl- 2-picryl-hydrazyl) method. All the compounds showed DPPH radical scavenging activity, where compound CuL_2 and FeL_3 was the best radical scavenger by IC_50 of 0.84 and 1.43 mg/ml, respectively. The results of antimicrobial activity showed that the tested compounds exhibited good to moderate activity against the tested bacterial and fungal strains.
