Abstract :
A new compound, K8Nb7As7O39, has been synthesized by solid-state reaction. It crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P with unit-cell parameters a = 8.767(4)Å, b = 12.260(4)Å, c = 19.018(4)Å, α = 106.530(2)°, β = 99.470(2)°, γ = 90.460(2)° and Z = 2. The structure of the compound is solved and refined to R = 0.062 and ωR2 = 0.1540. The structural study of K8Nb7As7O39 shows that the compound has a two-dimensional framework.
