Abstract :
Coupling of the enaminone compound 3 with aryl diazoniumsalts affords the arylhydrazonochromones 6. The latter showed achange in its colour upon changing the pH of the solution. Thesensitivity of these molecules was clear in the pH range of 6-11. Allfour dyes start to show change in thiere visible spectra when the pHstarts to reach the basic range.
