Abstract :
In this work the effectof various electrochemical .media on the flotation of galena was examined. The electrochemical.media consisted of a ball mill for grinding galena ore and. a Denverflotation cell for flotation of galena.. In order to reach the maximum recovery of sodium hyposulfite, concentrations of p:.06 and 0.12 M of nitrogen and air gases have been.used to control the pulp potential in the denver flotation cell. The sample of galena is from:Era mine of Kiyasarin Iran, which contairrs.Galena mineral at an estimated concentrationofat least22%, 73.37%, Florin (Cayz)2.54%,Quartz (SiO2) and other minerals like Cerussite(PbCO) and Kaolinite (AlzSizO,(OH),) in low quantities. The processing and flotation ofgalena are in 12°A, sodium hyposulfite solution. The amount of recovery in this solution in the presence and absence of potassium amyl xanthate (KAX) ·at.an estimated potential of 280 to 350 111V is 850/0 and 63%, respectively, However, this amount of galena recovery is700A) and, 52CX) at an approximate patential of 175. to 2 10 t11V in water in the presence andabsence of collector K. A. X.
