Abstract :
Geography of Turkey has been studied sufficiently through Ph. D and M.A. studies as well as course notes with respect to general and regional issues. Because of the fact that study areas of those studies have been too large, only general matters could be studied and that literature-based studies carried out, special and up-to-date issues, newer geographical characteristics that may take attention have not been sufficiently dealt with. Difficult geographical conditions, economic problems and desires to obtain career at very young ages cause studies to be more and more superficial. In addition, the fallacy that all geographical characteristics of the studied areas have been examined in a study shades the development of geographical thought. This study is intended to introduce Kocalan Falls, Ciseli Falls and Persembe Plain Cascade, all located in Aybasti, Ordu. These falls have been only shortly mentioned in previous literature and have not become subjects of proper scientific work.
