  • Abstract
The most common natural disaster type in our country is landslide. Most of the structural damage occur due to the landslides after earthquake damages. Landslide events were observed along The Çankırı-Ankara State Road intensively. Especially in 2012 Spring, a lot of new landslide events were observed. In this study, data on geological and topographical factors related to landslide occurrence in the investigated area were collected and landslide risk groups were determined by using frequency ratio method. Landslide susceptibility map of the study area has been created according to these groups, so therefore aimed to identify risk areas where measures to be taken in the highway construction. Most risky areas are the region between Akyurt-Kalecik turn and near surroundings of Çankırı. Active landslides occurred in the area opened on the road cut in the risk zone.
