Abstract :
In the southwest Anatolia volcanic area between Isparta and Burdur city centers; draws the attention by Golcuk Caldera, volcanic cones which are the inside and outside the caldera with pumice, tuff, andesite‐trachyandesite rocks formed from volcanic components. In this study; Gölcük volcanism evaluated by its geomorphological features. In this aspect the volcanic formation and development properties were explained. In the scope of the work the rock chemistry XRD ‐ SEM analysis and OSL dating, field studies which is supported by Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems was performed. Land examined in terms of features of elevation, slope, aspect and topographic analysis was performed. By this study the volcanic elements which is in the Golcuk Volcanic area like volcanic cones, domes, valeys, calderas and paleocalderas were mapped. 1/25000 scaled geomorphology map has been produced. Volcanic activities are a result of plate movements and in particular as a result of entering the tectonic extensional regime Pliocene Time is realized, volcanism continued in different frequencies before 5‐6 thousand years ago has been concluded. Also by processes of volcanic activity nested caldera structures, volcanic cones and dome structures was formed, sometimes volcanic activity processes cause disappearance of f these volcanic structures.
