Abstract :
Ministry of National Education and Turkish Grand National Assembly signed a protocol on the 13th January, 2004 in order to make the implementation of this way of life in educational institutions . This protocol has enabled to implement Democracy Education and School Councils Project. This project has been carried out for primary and secondary schools since 2004- 2005 academic year. In this study, it is aimed to determine the opinions of the teachers working in the primary schools implementing the project of Democracy Education and School Councils as a sample of democratic way of life. This is a descriptie study using scanning model. It is seen that there isn’t an important difference between the sexes of primary school teachers about carrying out and propaganda process of ‘democracy education and school council project’. It is seen that there isn’t an important difference between teachers’ views about Democracy education and school council procect’s propaganda process according to their educational background. It is seen that there isn’t an important difference between teachers’ views about to be carried out the project according to their educational background. And also, there isn’t an important difference between teachers’ views about to be carried out ‘democracy education and school council project’ according to their vocational seniority.
