Abstract :
Termination stage is the last stage of the group process. Despite the different definitions foropen and close groups, this stage means the end of the group process for clients. The thingswhich have been experienced in the termination stage should be handled considering not onlythe group members but also the group leader and the open group members who are still in theprocess. The qualification of this stage may be influenced by various factors like duration ofgroup process and members’ needs. Coping with the feelings of termination and unfinishedbusiness, looking over the group experience, giving and receiving feedback, and transferringwhat is learned to future are some of the tasks that should be performed in this stage. In thisarticle concerning the related literature, all these mentioned points are touched, differentexplanations are compared, and some sample questions are presented for practice.
