Abstract :
The aim of this study is to investigate preservice elementary teachers’ abilities on drawinggeometric construction. For this purpose data of the study was obtained from 140 elementarypreservice teachers by stratified sampling to represent all geographical region of Turkey.Participants were asked to draw geometric construction of 5 and 6 cubes on a given isometricpaper. Their drawings were examined and it was determined to what extent they are successfulin drawing. According to findings, almost one third of the participants drew nothing. Only onefourth of the participants drew the construction correctly. Amongst the correct drawings onlyfive of them were more complicated than drawing construction with just one column or a row.
