Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to determine effect of cartoons as a teaching tool towards student’sachievement and attitudes about endocrine system and biology. This study was applied to studentsthat include 28 students in control group and 28 students in ex`h consists of interview form withopen ended questions and quasi-experimental non-equivalent pretest- posttest control group wasused. An achievement test, attitude test and interviews were used to investigate the impact of usingcartoons as a teaching tool on student learning in teaching of endocrine system. The findings ofthis study show that students’ knowledge and understanding and attitude of biology was positivelychanged on the unit of endocrine system with the use of cartoons.
