Abstract :
In this research, it is aimed to describe teachers’ attitudes towards in-service educationactivities and determine whether such attitudes differentiate according to gender, branch,seniority, participation in in-service education programs or not. Survey model is used.“Attitude Scale Towards In-service Education Activity”, developed by the researchers todescribe teachers’ attitudes towards in-service education, is used. The sampling is composedof 422 teachers serving in 2011-2012 educational year in Adana. It is found teachers havenegative attitudes towards in-service education and their attitudes don’t change according togender, branch, seniority. Moreover, participating in any in-service education activity leads todifference in teachers’ attitudes towards such programs.
