Abstract
In that study it was aimed to find out primary teachers’ perception forms related to problem posing. Data was obtained via open-ended questionnaire. Totally 352 primary teachers attended study who work primary schools in Mersin. The data obtained from the study indicated that primary teachers had different problem posing perceptions. Teachers’ perceptions about problem posing were about its characteristics, benefits, mathematical definition, way of using it as well as metaphor of problem posing and some suggestions. Furthermore, some of the participants declared perceptions related to problem solving and some irrelevant mathematical ideas. Some of the participants did not declare any perceptions about problem posing
