Abstract :
Nowadays, instruction approaches are increasingly in the axis of a shift towards individualized instruction. The use of computers, one of the most useful tools in the implementation of individualized instruction, in learning reveals itself through computer-assisted instruction software. It is especially considered important to examine the use of computer-assisted instruction software of students in their first years of instruction. It is thought that serious problems may be encountered if young students do extraneous activities while using the software in question. That’s why, in this study, qualitative research methods were used in order to examine the behaviors that students exhibit while using computer assisted instruction software. Data was collected through observations and interviews with students and parents, and then it was analyzed and interpreted. At the end of the study, it was concluded that students especially tended to play games while using computer assisted instruction software and this situation needed to be taken under control.
