Abstract
This study aims to investigate the change tendency (entrepreneurship in change, belief in that change is beneficial, resistance to change, avoidance of change) of public education centers’ principals of centers for lifelong learning. The target population of the study consisted of 771 principals working in the centers for lifelong learning. The data was collected by using change inclination scale developed by Akbaba Altun and Büyüköztürk (2011). In the study, one-way variance analysis (ANOVA) was used to explore differences among groups. The relationships among the sub-scale scores were examined by using Pearson correlation coefficient. The analysis revealed that the principals previously working in the primary schools have a more positive attitude for the subject of entrepreneurship in change than that of the principals previously working in the non-formal education institutions. It was also observed that the change tendency of the senior principals in entrepreneurship dimension is higher while their resistance to change is lower.
