Abstract :
Nowadays, to learn the grammar and basic skills of language is not enough to learn that language completely. Culture that enlightens the language should be also known. Without a doubt, one of the most important materials, which can be used for language teaching, are textbooks that are prepared to teach language. Therefore, texts, in which culture factors to be used, should be chosen meticulously. In this study, the importance of culture factors, available in textbooks related to language education, has been questioned and “Gazi Turkish B1-B2 book for foreigners” were examined and evaluated. According to the review, the use of cultural elements shown in the tables, provided in the context of these elements is determined that more literary. Selected elements were observed to be of the type that may arise in social life. At the end of these evaluations, although it is realized that cultural factors were included, an idea about the necessity to benefit from more and more of these elements has been formed.
