Abstract :
Gas hydrates are dissociated to hydrate former gases and either water or ice. The enthalpy ofthe dissociation reaction is determined analytically using Clausius-Clapeyron equation. Two correlations are developed for calculating the enthalpies of dissociation of simple and mixed hydrates. The results show that the enthalpies of dissociation of simple and mixed hydrate calculated by this method are in good agreement with the experimental data at the quadruple point.
