Abstract
Prostatic abscess is a very rare prostatic disease. The most frequent microorganisms in that situation are E. Coli and the other coliform bacteria. History, physical examination and imagingmodalities are used for the diagnosis of this disease. The basic treatment of prostatic abcessis adequate drainage and proper use of antibiotic therapy. In recent years, transrectal ultrasonography guided drainage of prostatic abscess has been also preferred for the treatmentof prostatic abscess. It has the advantages of easy performance and low complication rates. In this case report, similarity and differentiation of the prostatic abscess, which has been seenin elderly men and adults was discussed.
