Abstract :
Informed consent is the process in which patients and physicians participate to make a shareddecision. Such an interaction has both medical and legal implications, however, most physicians are unaware of the legal aspects, which may have profound consequences on personal and professional life. In this paper, we review the frequently asked questions about medicolegal issues of informed consent process. Suggestions are given with reference to the current Turkish legislation.
