Abstract :
Dialogue is a form of discourse or discussion to find a meeting point because of religious differences and faith. In the context of the relationship between religion and culture, dialogue aimed to reduce the inter religion conflict by promoting understanding and love between people of different religions. Thus, inter-faith dialogue is a discipline to learn, understand, and to share one’s world view of the differences that exist in the life of various cultures and religions. Non-elite inter-faith dialogue is an approach to bridge the relationship between the different religions and cultures through grassroots involvement in the informal daily activities among the community. Particularly, many scholars focus on dialogue as a discipline for inter-religious harmony, especially between the Muslims and Christians. The local scholars discuss aspects of dialogue within the framework of Islam and other forms of dialogue that includes relationships that occur among public societies. The methodology used in this paper is a survey on the lastest written materials by scholars who talked about dialogue of faith as the subject of the study. This survey is very important because it is the initial input to the subsequent study.
